WHEN I FIRST ENTERED
CASEY ELEMENTARY
ON JANUARY 21 2003..........
When I first entered Casey at 9:00 am Friday morning, I was greeted by a well disposition secruity guard (Mrs. Griffen). After telling her what I was there for she directed me to the main office. There I met the principal Mrs. Roma Morris. She welcomed me with the biggest smile, patted me on the back, showed me my sign in sheet and then showed me the class I would be in. She took me down the hall to my supervising teacher Mrs. Hutchins. She welcomed me and then introduced me to her lovely 2nd grade class. Then they all said in unison "hi Ms. Caffey", and that truly warmed my heart. I then met the assistant teacher, Mrs. Simpson. She was a delight and helped me right off the back.
As Mrs. Hutchins continued her lesson, I walked around getting to know the surroundings I would be in for the next few months. I started to pick up on personalities very quickly and also discovered that this was going to be real FUN.
